Perfect afternoon for Street!

Sat outside under the umbrellas, which cast a reddish hue on everything…
…before I adjusted the photo levels on me and Trish, we looked like tanning bed victims gone horribly, horribly wrong.

Just happened to run into my favorite tour guide; I was actually lunching with Samantha, who invited me to try out Street’s new menu.

Noshed on a spicy millet puff while we decided what to order…

…so much to choose from! Most of the items are already vegetarian or vegan, with added meat options available. Don’t hear that every day, do you?

Always love Susan Feniger’s food. Yummiest veggie lunch ever!

Was actually still quite full from the LAAPFF launch party, so I just had one sample of each:

Just look at that gooey center! Slathered in yogurt sauce, rose petals and almonds.

The chef also brought out a tasting of the Paani Puri (they usual come six to a plate)…

…Semolina Puffs filled with spiced potato, yogurt, sprouted beans, and cilantro mint water.

The final entree was their Black Bean Burger…

…look how green! Those are pea shoots, smashed avocado, and tomato between toasted sourdough.

Samantha and I split half of a half…

…just enough room to squeeze in dessert!

Like everything else on the menu, this dish was inspired by Susan Feniger’s travels. Filipino Sweet Sticky Coconut Rice Tamale, with plantains and basil syrup…

…Gluten-free, vegan, and incredible.

I paired my share with a cup of South African Honeybush tea.

Lots of leftovers! Plus a reminder to get Susan’s new book when it comes out this July.

Speaking of Susan Feniger, Border Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas, they do an amazing brunch!
