Don’t know if it was because I read a whole bunch of The Hunger Games last night, but I woke up feeling ravenous…

…for MEAT!

This was a Lamb Shepherd’s Pie that Abe brought back from a cooking pilot he taped (the one that’s provided all the crumb cake you’ve seen lately). I’ve kept it stashed in the freezer for when I had a craving…

…weird for me to eat such a heavy meal at 8:30 am (there were also potatoes, carrots, and cheese in there) but man it was delicious!

And, it’s kept me sustained throughout my busy day far…

…through hunting (for matching socks)…

Julius and I even went on a little pack walk with our friend Maggie and her dog GG!

Tonight will be a complete 180 – we’re going to sample the menu at a raw vegan place. I’ll leave Katniss behind but I can’t wait to jump right back in later – things were slow at first, but Part 2 was a real page-turner.

I read The Hunger Games to my class and they loved it. I am starting the second book with them next week.
