This was a Lamb Shepherd’s Pie that Abe brought back from a cooking pilot he taped (the one that’s provided all the crumb cake you’ve seen lately). I’ve kept it stashed in the freezer for when I had a craving…

…weird for me to eat such a heavy meal at 8:30 am (there were also potatoes, carrots, and cheese in there) but man it was delicious!

Julius and I even went on a little pack walk with our friend Maggie and her dog GG!

Tonight will be a complete 180 – we’re going to sample the menu at a raw vegan place. I’ll leave Katniss behind but I can’t wait to jump right back in later – things were slow at first, but Part 2 was a real page-turner.

I read The Hunger Games to my class and they loved it. I am starting the second book with them next week.
