Last night was book club; I didn’t actually READ the selection (I listened to it on audio last summer during our road trip to San Francisco) but that’s okay, since just like at the first meeting, we hardly discussed it!

Mostly talked and noshed. I brought some Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus sent by Majestic Garlic to share. Sprouted chickpeas = higher nutrient absorption

Really tasty, too! Surrounded it with crudités.

Upon arrival, Jen was frying up some TJ’s shrimp gyozas…

…and Coriann was tossing arugula leaves with sliced almonds in a dijon vinaigrette.

Mmmm!

Chocolate was definitely a theme…

…there it is in the cheese…

…and of course, the hit of the evening:

Coriann was also responsible for making this Frito Brittle (a.k.a. crack). Notice how there’s a piece on pretty much every other plate I consumed?

Ended the night with some Pate and Brie (with warm honey) on crackers
On the way out, Jen slipped me some samples of Pūr-lisse, her skincare line – haven’t used the daily SPF yet, but I did try the lip nourisher and it was unbelievable!

What an incredible group of smart, talented, and inspirational ladies; NOTHING like the book club shenanigans in Nice Girls Crew…

…tickets for our San Francisco premiere are on sale to the public now – I’ll be at the Sundance Kabuki screening with the rest of the cast/crew on March 10th.

She calls is Frito Candy, but I don’t think that describes it very well. Oh, and I double the amount of butter and brown sugar to cover a 9×13 size. But I never use it all, just enough for an even coat.
Glad you enjoyed it
I HEART BOOK CLUB!!!
Everything looks yummy! Good luck with the premiere!
I looked at that cheese for ages last time I was in Trader Joe’s. In the end, it looked too much like another kind of disappointing cheddar (supposed to have incorporated Cabernet, but it tasted like nothing) that I got a few years back at Whole foods. I left without choco-cheddar.
Now you’ve got me questioning every major life decision I’ve ever made. Perhaps it’s not too late! Frickin’ frack, where are my car keys? I’m comin’ for you baby! (cheese)
On a less cheese related note:
Just bought my ticket to the Nice Girl’s Crew!
awesome! please come say hello, ashley!
