Core Strengthening

Thanks everyone for your lovely, supportive comments on my last post about acting and perseverance. I had no idea so many people loved 80’s hair bands as much as me 🙂

[Now if everyone could take a second and sign this petition to remove birthdates from IMDB, maybe my next job will come quicker!]

Today has been a lot better. Slept in, took a walk to Chevalier’s

Julius got his usual treat, then sat at our feet while we ate ours at Peet’s next door

Since I’ll be consuming (literally) dozens of cupcakes with Jenny soon, I opted for a sugar-free breakfast.

As I mentioned in my last post, these are really filling! Abe and I split the Raw Walnut Banana

Still not sweet enough for my palate, but he LOVED it. And I’m sure one of you will too – as promised, here’s a little giveaway from Core Foods

One U.S. Reader will win either a Defender or Warrior Meal sample pack. All you have to do is “like” their Facebook page or follow them on Twitter saying which one you’d prefer, then leave a comment on this blog post saying which one you did. Double entries, of course, for doing both (and extras for any other ways you can think of). Good luck!

Not to sound rude, but I doubt it age is to blame for the lack of acting. Maybe it is not your calling, you are obviously doing good blogging. Maybe you should consider getting a career that is more stable and you do not set yourself up for rejection. Being that you are vulnerable and have had issues with self confidence, acting does not seem like it would be a good thing ing the long run. Not to mention the pay is terrible. This could be a good time to reflect and try something else career wise that will make you a lot more money and stable for the long run! You can do it!

no worries, anne – you definitely don’t sound rude! i don’t blame age for my lack of opportunities, in fact i firmly believe only better things will happen as i get older, just that i LOOK a lot younger than i actually am, so waiting for my outside to catch up with my insides. 🙂 i’ve been doing this forever (since i was 5!!!) and have already tried many other avenues – after many times quitting/self analyzing i’ve realized this is it for me! it’s not about the $$$ or the fame, it’s definitely about the journey. i wouldn’t trade this job for any other, and during the bad days at work i have to remind myself that it’s all worth it. because ultimately, it is – 100% thanks for reminding me i love it!

I also follow them on Twitter. I’d like to try both the Defender and Warrior, it’d probably make me more balanced that way 😉

Followed them on Facebook… Warrior sounds perfect.

And good on you Lynn for following you’re dreams, from one LA artist to another. You’re a WARRIOR at HEART! 🙂 All the best!
