Even though Christmas is over…

We escaped the crowds in the French Quarter and walked over to my favorite neighborhood…

Our destination – Sound Cafe, which I saw on Treme

…since it was closed, we stumbled into the nearby Schiro’s, which was actually on my list from last year after Michael Stipe recommended it…

on Goop, not to me. We have never met. (But speaking of celebs, we kept seeing Parker Posey, one of my favorite actresses, all morning!)

I doused my po’ boy in a little more than just a drop of this Hot Sauce. It was, indeed, perfect!

As was this fried catfish – I skipped the mayo, but had it dressed in tomato, lettuce, and pickles.

There were non-meat options for Abe too (he got a burger) but I didn’t waste my time today on vegetables.
