Darling Party

December 14, 2011

in appetizers, dessert, holidays, party

My buddy Jenny (a.k.a. Dessert Darling) is a hostess with the mostess!!!

I arrived early and helped the ladies in red set up…

…noshed on a couple of these special edition Pretzel Crisps (<—-yessssss) while prepping (and eating) some chicken shumai

IMG_1714

Everywhere you looked, there was food (my figgy pudding cookies were a hit!) …

…and Holiday cheer!

My first plate included chips/guac, buncha sweets, a chicken salad skewer, and…

…creamy, delicious mac n cheese from Erewhon. I was skeptical that the home of “healthy hippie food” could make a decent one, but this was pretty great – even lukewarm!

My second helping included cheese, crackers, Cranberry spread, some crudite, Panettone, popcorn, caprese skewer, and a few cookies

Ya don’t go to Dessert Darling’s and not fill up on sugar! Didn’t have any more room in my tummy so I wrapped up a few to try later.

Amidst the party…

…there was also jewelry from Stella and Dot for sale…

…and tarot/energy healing readings

I had my future told by Pauline, who was eerily accurate. Much better than my experience in NOLA

We’ll have to see what actually comes true! But as far as the past goes, I had a wonderful time last night. Thanks, Jenny!

I didn’t know y’all were buds! That’s cool. And what an amazing array of foods.

So Pauline knew things about you and then offered your future? I’ve never had any kind of reading done, but I am definitely intrigued.

The party looks like it was so much fun!
All of the desserts look delicious. And I love Erewhon- though it can be ridiculously overpriced. I always find the most unique foods when I’m in there.
