Cheating on Julius

I love Saturdays in December – all the Oscar-contenders are in theaters! Abe and I adored “The Artist.”

Obviously, I have a connection to B&W (and silent) movies – but there’s a particularly special place in my heart for Jack Russell actors!

Uggie’s even MORE amazing than Cosmo (from “Beginners”)

Don’t tell Julius!

We stopped home to give him dinner before heading out to Megan and Wade’s holiday party

The spread included cheeses, meats, and many sweets

Trader Joe’s – your holiday cookies are a delight!

I sampled all 3 Joe Joe’s – truly addictive

2 types of M&M’s – peppermint…

…and peanut butter

Homemade stuff – Butterscotch Cookies

…pistachio brittle…

Wade’s l’il smokies…

…bean/corn dip with red onion/French dressing…

…and Megan’s jams!!!

Three is the magic number (of refills)

Don’t tell Julius we hung out with Skip all night, too…

Holiday parties are the best! I think I’ve had those star cookies…they look very familiar!

  • Kamaile

My Aunt sends me 3 boxes of candy cane Jo jos every year be cause Texas doesn’t have TJ’s yet! Are those like sweet/hot jalapeño peppers? Love those & Julius!

    • Lynn at The Actors Diet

yes – she made hot/sweet jalapeno jam!

  • Stacy @ Say It With Sprinkles

So much great holiday cookie inspiration!! Looks amazing!! =)

  • Annie

The doggy looks so un impressed! Butterscotch cookies? I think yes! Great blog thanks :)

  • Emily

I can’t wait to see this!
That spread of desserts is fabulous. Store-bought jam pales in comparison to the homemade stuff. Mmm…
And, don’t worry, our lips are sealed. Julius will never know. :)

  • Vivian

That’s such an adorable pic of Julius!

Also, those Trader Joe cookies look divine…wish we had them here. Then again, I’d be uncontrollable if we did…lol.

I LOVED The Artist. We saw it as a double feature Saturday night along with Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I’m not a night owl, and I totally slept through part of Tinker Tailor, but I really liked what I saw. $16 for a nap — bah!
