I have no idea what to make of today’s forecast!!! Is that….snow?!?
My walk to the Larchmont Farmer’s Market required a heavier jacket, but otherwise it was a very typical Sunday in Los Angeles.
Sampled (and bought) a lot of fruit…
…two (tiny) scoops of raisins
Was shocked that the strawberries still taste sweet and snatched up a pint
Our house felt colder than outside! I wanted to turn on the oven and heat it up.
Homemade Baked Tortilla Chips
Took three Hi-Fiber Tortilla Wraps
Brushed each side with Coconut Earth Balance + Seasoning Salt
Sliced into wedges using a pizza cutter and placed in a single layer on two sprayed baking sheets
12-15 minutes in a 350 degree oven, rotated once halfway until crispy
Keep an eye on them – one sheet was done a few minutes quicker than the other!
I haven’t eaten any yet…
…but Abe sampled this bowl and said they’re really good (<—whew)

Haha I love how it’s the same temperature in PA today and it’s considered WARM!
I love making my own tortilla chips. The brown rice ones are my fave!
i have been trying to figure it out for weeks and i think those dots are stars. not snow. i.e., the sky will be so clear tonight at 5pm (sundown) that you can see twinkly stars? because when i’ve seen that symbol there has been NO chance of snow. but it always confuses me too…technology:1, humans: zero.
abe thinks they’re stars too. i guess they must be – just weird that almost EVERY night it’s like that, but it never shows up in the forecast til today?
haha the first few times I saw that I thought it was snow, too (I live in Philadelphia). But alas no snow yet, and I think those are stars just to signify night
Where can one find that coconut Earth Balance??
i found it at whole foods!
what? snow? no. what is that?
These look fabulous! Any excuse to turn the oven on is a good one
Wow, snow in the forecast in SoCal? I am sure the grocery store shelves are bare in advance of people stocking up in advance of the blizzard and all
kidding.
Your food looks wonderful!
haha i know that picture on my iphone is really confusing! i think it means “clear skies” though—but i could be wrong
Mmmm… Homebaked Tortilla Chips… I can almost smell it!
i think we read each others minds today!! the only difference is that you actually made the tortilla chips whereas i looked at the bag and procrastinated and said “mmm, tomorrow perhaps!” lol.
btw, maybe it isn’t snow they are forecasting but rather beautiful stars (shooting stars) for you, and only you (yep, i like that much better!) hehe
xoxo <3
