Last time I went to Booya’s it was to celebrate finding my car after it was stolen. Today it was just to rejoice in the fact that I can have frozen dessert for lunch three days in a row if I want to!

Started with my usual base of fruit – strawberries, pineapple, blackberries (blueberries and mango too, but they got buried)

Tried a sample of their Fresh Tart

It’s solid, but I can’t help myself around flavors like these!

Went with the above two, plus Cookies & Cream

Lotsa chocolate on top! Three of my favorite candy bars…

…and my favorite animal…

…plus some mochi for chew

My date, Miranda July

I’m very inspired by her, after seeing The Future!

I’m also moved by the story behind Booya’s – owner Mike Shab decided to open the yogurt shop 2 years ago next to his family’s awesome sneaker shop Sportie LA (where Abe and I often buy our kicks), which he calls his “Booya” moment.

Life is filled with these instances – for me, it was when I kicked my eating disorders to the curb, decided to start both my blogs, and embraced ALL ASPECTS of my life as an actress. I talk more about all these things in a recent interview I did for Taiwan 543.

Another Booya – Surrogate Valentine won the Grand Jury Prize for “Best of Fest” at the Salt Lake City Film Festival this weekend!!! There will be a free screening TONIGHT at 7:30pm at Broadway Center Cinemas, 111 E. 300 South.

Chocolate v. fruity froyo is always such a hard choice, but I usually go for chocolate too 🙂

I recently had a booyah moment that I can’t really share on the internet, but…it was a good one!

Please tell Mike he has the most genius way to house fro yo toppings I’ve seen yet! More places should put them in boxes–so much more accessible!

That looks delicious, I wish there were froyo in Germany! Oh well, I guess gelato will have to stand in today…but I miss all the fun mix-ins!

And your actress’ life sounds so exciting, lucky you!

Miranda July’s film Me and You and Everyone We know is one of my favorite films! It’s great~ I would totally recommend it! 🙂
