7 Links

blogging - compilation

My Los Angeles buddy Kaitlin recently nominated me to take part in My 7 Links, an online project that allows bloggers to revisit and highlight some old posts.

THE GOAL

To unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.

THE RULES

1) Blogger is nominated to take part
2) Blogger publishes his/her 7 links on his/her blog – 1 link for each category.
3) Blogger nominates up to 5 more bloggers to take part.
4) These bloggers publish their 7 links and nominate another 5 more bloggers

Here’s my 7 Links:

Most Beautiful: Osteria Phyllis – An epic meal. The food and lighting were perfect.

Most Popular: Interview with Daniel Dae Kim – For obvious reasons. Look at him!

Most Controversial: Typical T.A.D. – I address a rude comment.

Most Helpful: NEDAwareness – This was a really difficult and emotional post to write, but I’m glad I did. I still get emails from people who are struggling with eating disorders about it.

Post Whose Success Surprised You: April 6th – My seventh wedding anniversary. I don’t talk much about my love life, but people seem to care!

Post You Feel Didn’t Get the Attention It Deserved: It’s Good to Be Here – My very first blog post, when I had an audience of zero. I introduce the infamous ginger chews in this one!

Post That You Are Most Proud Of: Video Interview: Dave Coulier – I grew up watching Full House. I still can’t believe I got to interview “Uncle Joey,” and that I got him to say “Cut it out!”

Gonna keep the L.A. theme going…

  1. Erin (Living and Loving in L.A.)
  2. Ameena (Fancy That…Fancy This)
  3. Jessica (Jess Oh Bee)
  4. Kim (Fill Your Well)
  5. Kate (Cooking with Kate)

this is by far the best tagging series i’ve seen in blogland. how fun to see some of your past posts highlighted! i think i had read most of them except the NED Awareness one. i really appreciate your honesty in your experiences. i just got hired to be a therapist at a residential facility for individuals with eating disorders {the bella vita}. i know how much strength and courage it takes to share things like that, and to hear your account, your thoughts and feelings, is so powerful. thank you for sharing those things! and i feel so honored to be tagged. this is going to be a fun trip down memory lane.

I’m so glad you participated in this–a lot of these posts I missed the first time around, and it was great to go back and see them. Not only that, but it’s always fun to see what a blogger felt/thought about their posts.
