Yesterday was outrageously fun! Pancakes + bowling, followed by a field trip to a place I’ve been dying to check out since it opened in January:

Yes, as in the same gelato I blog about all the time, only on the Westside! This location doesn’t have as many flavors…

…but they do offer coffee…

…AND it’s owned by a food blogger!

I had my usual – 2 samples of regular flavors (yesterday’s were Horchata and Chocolate Porto Wine)…

…ordered the vegan flavors (Maple Caramel and Tiramisu)

You have to ask for toppings (they’re not self-serve, but still free!)

Peanuts and chocolate sprinkles. One stray purple.

Still kinda hungry, so I snacked on a fruit leather sample that I’ve had in my bag for over a year!

(Digging into old food stashes really made it feel like Carmageddon.)

We were “good” Angelenos the rest of the night and stayed home, off the roads. I whipped up a quick salad with chopped greens, Balsamic Onions, Artichoke Hearts

Dressing:

Added chicken to my portion. The little blue bowl was for Abe.

In honor of our city, I wanted to watch something with lots of Los Angeles locations – Pulp Fiction was on Netflix Instant so we chose that.

I haven’t seen this movie since it was in theaters and was surprised at how much detail I remembered (probably because I was obsessed with the soundtrack). 17 years later, it still holds up.

The ice cream looks amazing! The salad sounds perfect! Love the addiction of onions…YUM! I remember the first time I saw Pulp Fiction. I think the quality of the film is a major reason why I remember the details so well too. I have seen it often, but I remember how vividly I remember it when I saw it again.

When I saw the title of this post, I thought it was going to be about some sort of special caramel, lol. I’m definitely not an Angeleno. :)

Their gelato flavors sound very unique! I would definitely have gone for horchata.

I love Pulp Fiction!!! John Travolta is my absolute favorite!!! Also, those onions look so good. I’ll have to get some next time I’m at Trader Joe’s.
