No fried dough on this site for National Donut Day, but a couple of furry celebs!
Sighting #1:

My favorite American Idol contestant, Casey Abrams!!! We spotted him on the corner of Larchmont and Beverly, as we drove by to pick up frozen yogurt.

Had a 1/2 off coupon for $10 worth of dessert – this is what $11.50 looks like at Twirl

Started with a waffle bowl – filled with berries, kiwi, mango, and pineapple

Only room for one flavor!!!

Toppings: Peanut Butter Chips and Chocolate Covered Sunflower Seeds

A few hours later I noshed on a Jazz apple that I snuck into the movie theater

We watched “Beginners” – a film that we rushed to see on opening night for one reason only…

…NOT Ewan MacGregor (though he was terrific too)

COSMO!!! (Who you may also recognize from “Hotel for Dogs” and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop”)

The movie itself was truly wonderful – but guess WHO was at the Q&A after last night’s screening?!?

That’s right:

And I thought seeing Casey was exciting!!! This is the celeb meeting of the century!!!
FYI – these used vegetable dye around his eyes to make him look more JRT-ish in the film

A perfectly behaved dog but of course my own Julius Chenwald is the greatest of all the furry beasts I know.

(Am now prepared to get hit with a bunch of spam from this post’s title…)

Fun sightings and delicious treats!
That is such an adorable dog.
I love fro-yo. That looks so good.
The doggie is so cute! Can’t wait to attend the premiere, it’s on Tuesday night in Paris. Was Melanie Laurent at your premiere? She’s slowly becoming the new Marion Cotillard.
As always your treats look SO delicious! Never heard of chocolate covered sunflower seeds, genious!
no she wasn’t there – but she was wonderful in the movie!
Salivating over that frozen yogurt..
frozen yogurt sounds soo good on a super hot day like today.
and julius is adorable, as always.
Mmmm PB&J Yogurt = best food combination of LIFE.
OMG Cosmo!! I never knew his name but have seen him in those movies, he is absolutely adorable with you all paws up style!
Lol, great title to your post and yes, brace yourself for spam…
I can’t believe you got to meet Cosmo !!!!!
he’s much heavier than julius but waaaaay better behaved!
I loveeee dogs and they’re both adorable
How fun that you got to go and do that!
Doug loves to go to Bricks and Scones in your hood to think and write.
I told him to check out the Larchmont Bunglow for the bread pudding muffins you love so much. Well…..thank you and damn you all at once. We are half-way through a choco-chip version. An insane, comforting, delicious, outrageous treat indeed!!! Thanks for the intro.
oops! sorry! (and you’re welcome)
Kaitlin is going to be so jealous of your AI sighting! hahaha
I love pup celebs. Too cute!
Does it make me a loser that I had no idea who Casey was?
But thanks to your blog, I am informed.
Umm and that dog may be cuter than Ewan…..almost.
Peanut butter and jelly flavored fro yo?! I am so jealous! The best flavor my fro yo place is birthday cake…although I guess I can’t complain.
awh, im so jealous of the celeb sitings, both of them!
LOL Makeup for dogs. Whoddah thunkit? I missed ‘Beginners’ at Sundance because I was working the ‘fest. Can’t wait to see it in theaters!
PB&J froyo sounds DECADENT. I’ve been on this weird fro-yo kick lately- they carry mochi chunks at froZENyo- SO GOOD. Every other day I stop by, drop a few bucks and come out with *this* much yo and *THIS* much mochi.
ahhh, mochi and fro yo – would never have thought to combine the two if the frozen yogurt places didn’t make it an option – now i can’t imagine life without it!!!
