It’s been a really long day.

The combination of emotions and all the food from the last few days left me with room for just one meal, post-funeral, around 4:30pm

Stuffed a challah roll with mustard, turkey, cuke/tomato – with coleslaw + potato/egg salad and pickled cuke/tomatoes on the side

Dessert in the corner

Cookies at the end

I shared these bites with Abe:

Just got back from visiting my brother’s children and am now at my folks’ house in NJ after a 3.5 hour drive. Time to crash.

I’m glad I got to see you even if only for 5 minutes! The irony is I thought I was going to beat everyone to the apt. so I walked around for 20 minutes with Mason till it got to be 4:30. Bummer.
I loved the pictures. She looked so happy in all of them!
Hi sweet lady…oh life…oh death…the world keeps on spinning, doesn’t it? Thank you for sharing with me tonight. I’m in the need of some comfort…and you are one of the blogs I know I can turn to. I hope you have a great start to your week. Blessings and love.
Looks like you’ve got quite a day.. Hope you get some nice r&r! Take care.
RIP Bub! What a great remembrance of her life. My deepest sympathy goes to you and Abe and your families.
I understand what you are going through. This past weekend was rough for us, today is our grandpa’s birthday. Going to be hard when I talk with my grandmother.

I lost both of my grandfathers last year, and know exactly what you mean– those days are LONG and draining, even if they are filled with joy (and sorrow).
Hope you got some rest last night!
So sorry to hear about Abe’s grandmother. Thinking of you and your family.
