Pho lunch at Mekong River, a Vietnamese and Thai Restaurant in Austin, TX.
Holy smokes it’s Monday? Between lack of sleep, SXSW activities, and meeting new folks, I really feel like I’m in an alternate reality. I have only one interview today that I need to be at the Convention Center for. So today I’m meeting up with my high school friend, Martin Olson, who I haven’t seen since 1994! Wandering around, we found this Vietnamese and Thai place nearby. It’s called Mekong River.
We both order pho noodle soup; I get chicken with extra veggies. Can you believe this is a small? I am eating all the meat, veggies and broth. Also, maybe 1/3 of the noodles.
Martin treats me! So sweet of him.
Tonight is our 2nd screening of Surrogate Valentine. It’s 10pm at The Rollins theater! I will be at the Q&A afterwards, and am trying to decide whether to stay downtown until then. Or, maybe I’ll go back to my hotel. I’ve broken my sandal (which is currently being held together by duct tape) so that is probably reason enough to go back.
Plus I just got a call from my agent saying I may need to put myself on tape for an audition. And I should probably take a nap!
