The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas

in breakfast, snacks

Behold – the power of the sun!

Makes breakfast sexy…

…so much prettier than this:

That would be 1/2 a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel smeared with Peanut Butter and Jalapeno Jam (insanely tasty combo, FYI)

I got hungry during my food photography session!

The sun was pouring down in all its glorious Los Angeles splendor and I decided to have some Yogurtland apres rehearsing/writing with Christy

Usual base of fruit

IMG_0151.JPG

Topped with all kinds of flavors – Honey Comb Tart, Toasted Coconut, Peanut Butter, and Devil’s Food

IMG_0155.JPG

All mixed up

IMG_0157.JPG

I had to eat quickly – the sun was melting most of it!

While shopping for SXSW and SFIAAFF I listened to the latest episode of “More Hip Than Hippie” – they reviewed a Banana Bread beer that I recently read about on Amanda/Andy’s blog, giving it stellar reviews.

IMG_0166.JPG

Then, at The Grove/Farmer’s Market I spotted it at World Market!!!

IMG_0165.JPG

Obviously, the beer is for Abe – but I did pick up something special for myself too:

Meh. But I did enjoy the soda a little more with some pretzel rods

Now it’s time for me to pack for two different climates! Oh Mr. Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me in both Austin AND San Francisco!!!

I don’t drink beer, but I’d like to try a sip of that one. I know, I’m such an easy sell.

Have a lovely trip :)

That banana bread beer is good enough for breakfast. Seriously, it tastes just like banana bread. I am going to have to give the PB&Jalapeno jam a try, I have a bunch to use up and that sounds like a great snack.

It was amazingly sunny here also! I’m sure it’s a little different from LA though considering that it was really sunny and minus 20 degrees! lol.
That yogurt looks to die for. yum!

Banana bread beer sounds gooood… and I’m not even a big beer person.

PS a day late… so sweet Abe made you dinner yesterday! Good husband :)

That banana bread beer was pretty solid! Hope Abe likes it.

As for the Virgil’s, I only like the diet flavors with food. So with pretzels would have been yummy. love creme soda/root beer with salty foods. YUM!
