Happy Lunar New Year!!!
Too bad it’s not the year of the turtle

I saw these cuties on my walk with Christy this morning.

Right after that Abe and I headed to “our office.” A mountain of computer work to do, and I didn’t want to be at home all day.

Paid “the rent” first.

Turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce and mayo. Side of greens and vinaigrette.

Standard stuff. Had a bite of Abe’s veggie panini, which was better…

…probably because it got pressed/plated. They didn’t recommend heating mine, so I ate it out of the container.

This little nook reminds me elementary school!

For dessert we split one of the new flavors that Larabar sent

It’s National Carrot Cake Day!

Perfect for the Year of the Rabbit too. I already celebrated Chinese New Year food-wise yesterday (with Seth Rogen, remember?) but if you’re looking for some recipes, here are a few from my Mommy!
- Stir Fried String Beans
- Stir Fried Leafy Greens
- Bitter Melon with Flank Steak
- Vegan “Chicken” with Mustard Greens

Those turtles made me smile
I love Chinese New Year, we always celebrate at work because my company is Chinese-owned.
Happy Lunar New Year!!
Haha..I love turtles
Sounds like a fun day. I love Larabars!
Turtles are probably the only reptiles I will ever agree on being cute. We used to have those tiny baby green turtles. I used to carry mine around like a pet rock. Don’t ask, I know I’m weird. Happy New Year!
Turtles are so cute! I should have made carrot cake! Maybe this weekend!
nice turtles!! your mom’s string beans looks really tasty- and so simple! I will have to try those.
Happy Lunar New Year!
Whenever I see turkey and cranberry sandwiches I think of the ones Cosi puts out every year at Thanksgiving. I used to order them and pull off the turkey, then eat the stuffing + cran!
I appreciate the links to you mom’s recipes, but I would much rather knock on her door and say I was hungry. Think she would mind?
Happy New Year…and I had no idea it was national carrot cake day. I need to celebrate now. Thank you for sharing sweet girl. Have a happy Friday!
Happy Chinese New Year! I missed the festival at my prior university this year. They had free yummy dim sum. Guess chocolate coconut milk ice cream will just have to do…
