Plans for yesterday (shrink appointment, dinner out, and a movie screening) got scrapped since I’ve got a big pilot audition on Thursday. Julius has been keeping me company while I prep.
Just the two of us, walking n memorizing lines…

…this is the second time he’s mistaken some other dude for Abe!

I threw together my favorite quick dinner – Peanut Butter noodles – with a few substitutions – 1/2 a box of spaghetti, a whole bag of frozen spinach, and 2 TB of each of these (plus 1 cup of starchy pasta cooking water) for the sauce:

I also added in the remaining Just Roasted Garlic Powder

Big ass pot = tons of leftovers

I went heavy on the greens

Then un-veganized this dish with salami slices

Some Sriracha squirts too. These noodles don’t actually taste very Peanut Butter-y at all.

But man were they delicious – especially with the salty meat!
Dessert was at the other end of the taste spectrum – as sweet as sweet can be:

1/2 a navel orange alongside the Sugar Rush cookie

Back to audition prep, or, in Julius’ case…

…being really really cute

COUPON ALERT!
For you Angelenos, here’s a 1/2 off deal for Radiance of Life. They just moved to a new space, but it’s one of my favorite places – $27.50 for an hour long massage!!!

Awww, love the picture of the pup snoozing.
I kind of want to reach through the screen and swipe the frosting on the Sugar Rush cookie off with my finger…it even has sprinkles
that peanut dish looks so yummy…I should try that now that my PB2 shipment just came in. and like u, i definitely need to end my savory meals with something sweet after
Lynn, I want to wish you luck in preparing for the audition. Hope you have fun at it. That is all you can do, right? I am having severe cookie cravings now. I may need to get me some cookies.
That dinner looks great. Think I might try it.
And that last picture of Julius is totally adorable.
Sleeping dogs are so warm and cuddly
Good luck on your audition!
i love asian peanutty sauces with those kinds of ingredients. i never thought of green-ing it up with spinach though. minus the salami this has my name all over it!
peanut noodles is one of my favorite dinners! I haven’t made it in ages either!! That is so cute that Julius is your study buddy
Frank is my office mate.
Have a great audition!
That dinner looks so good! Coconut Peanut Butter…I need to get some of that! The cookie with the blue sprinkles is really cute! Good luck getting those lines memorized! Max is trying out for the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland today at school. I so hope he gets it and that you get yours!
I love salami but for some reason I just can’t imagine tossing it with peanut noodles! Good luck on your audition!!
i know i was skeptical but it was good – like spaghetti w bacon!
Poor Julius getting confused like that! I guess he wasn’t close enough to use his sense of smell?
Coconutty peanut noodles sound really great!

aw, thanks gillian!
I wish I had Julius to study with! I have an “audition” at work to convince them to let me relocate. So nervous! I hate memorizing things.
Good luck with your audition! I watched White on Rice this weekend and it was so fun seeing you on my TV!
thanks for watching it! also – break a leg with your “audition!”
Break a leg tomorrow!! It would be nice to see you every week on my TV.
You keep reminding me that I’ve not had salami in quite some time.
