Hollywood shuts down during the Holidays, so I haven’t had an audition in what feels like forever. I’ve grown accustomed to my loosey goosey schedule, free to do things like drive 30 minutes out of my way for brunch.

Abe was in Santa Monica for work and I had a free birthday coupon (sign up here!) for Veggie Grill, so really it was a no-brainer deciding what to do with my wide-open Monday.
My complimentary entree was the Carne Asada (Grilled veggie-steak, marinated in Mexican spices, with southwestern spiced vegan mayo on a wheat roll) which comes with red cabbage slaw.

Abe ordered the Bali Bliss (Indonesian styled tempeh, sauteed and grilled with chipotle ranch)

We split the sammies, which were both pretty yummy (and I had a few bites of his mac n cheese too)

On the drive back I got a call from my agent telling me I had an audition tomorrow. First one of 2011 – it’s a good one, too. OF COURSE, it happens to be on the one day all week that I had a whole buncha things scheduled, which I spent the rest of the day shifting around and canceling.
When I wasn’t rescheduling I was working on lines and watching reruns of the show I’m going in for. Around 8:30 pm I realized it was probably time to eat. Hunger hit me like a ton of bricks with the first bite and I kept going back to the fridge for more and more food.
1. Elf Cafe leftovers

2. Brody’s Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookie, warmed up from the freezer and gooey

Plus grapes

3. White Cheddar Pop Corners and a dried fruit salad (cantaloupe, pineapple, kiwi)

4. More grapes

5. Jarlsberg Lite Swiss Cheese

6. An additional slice

Julius recognizes procrastination when he sees it.
Okay, my seventh trip to the kitchen is going to be to wash the dishes, and get back to work!

Is it wrong that among the gorgeous sandwiches you and Abe ordered at the Veggie Grill, I’m salivating over the mac ‘n cheese? Something about that bright yellow color makes me so hungry.
