The venue (Park Plaza Hotel) was stunning:
Loved this grand old staircase…
Abe told me afterwards that the place is known to be haunted. I’m REALLY GLAD he didn’t tell me that while we were there! Hard to imagine ghosts when you’re posing with beer bottles…
…and on the red carpet (BCBG dress with a pair of Jellypop booties).
The food was catered by Lawry’s
I left off the carbs on this plate – the roll and most of the croutons.
Apparently the salad is dressed while spun in a bowl! We didn’t get to see any of that, though, the food just appeared. Though we did witness the chefs in carving action:
VEGETARIANS, SHIELD YOUR EYES!!!
All the dudes at our table got bigger cuts with bone. My friend Phil’s is on the left. NO FAIR!
Not that I needed the extra meat – I devoured the entire main course and was STUFFED.
Mashed potatoes and sweeeet creamy corn…
…traded bites of my Yorkshire Pudding…
…with Abe, who had the most AMAZING vegetarian lasagna dish:
The Strawberry Trifle was yummy but I only managed to polish off about 1/3 of it.
Hard candy helps stop me from entering THE DANGER ZONE of fullness…
…so I could just sit back and enjoy the show! My dear friend Randall was the evening’s MC and he did a terrific job.
America’s Best Dance Crew Season 5 Champions, Poreotix
My own hot date – notice how we got matchy-matchy?!?
In lieu of traditional SWAG bags, everyone got different gift packages. How fitting that Abe and I wound up with tickets to a documentary, and a foodie box!
I’m going to have to kidnap blogger Sophia to help me out with my loot. What is Barn Barn Mee, and what will I make with 15 pounds of it?!?
Thank you KoreAm, for a delicious and unforgettable evening!
