As mentioned in my last post, I was meeting Jenny Alden (a.k.a. Dessert Darling) for my free salad today. Needed something to take my diabetes meds with first, so I ate a few raw almonds after waking up.

Today’s Salad Bowl Cafe Creation was my favorite so far, surprisingly, since I just chose stuff I wouldn’t normally get.

- Romaine/Spring Lettuce
- Chicken
- Strawberries
- Corn niblets
- Red Cabbage
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Raw Cauliflower
- Pepporoncini
- Golden Raisins
Another watered-down lemonade and some Honey Mustard Dressing on the side

Tossed it myself – I don’t like a heavily-dressed salad…

…which makes for less-soggy leftovers. 3 hours later, it was still crisp and tasty.

The Actor’s Diet Store – Now Open for Business!
Got a wonderful package from Cindy K. Shaw, a longtime reader, fellow blogger, and talented artist…

I asked her to design this artwork for my newly opened online store. How AWESOME is her creation?!?

Framed for the office wall…

…and available to wear!

Aside from clothing, you can also get cups, bags, aprons, and more! I’ve added a “Store” link to the homepage, but if you buy anything before Monday, you can save 14.92% by entering the code 1492COLUMBUS
THANKS CINDY!!!!

That t-shirt is adorable!
Your salad sounds heavenly. Right up my alley!
I think salad is the one thing I can never save for leftovers. No matter how hungry I am, or how big it is, I always have to finish it. This comes from my philosophy of the best bite of the salad being the very last. I feel a sense of obligation to go to the end.
=)
thanks, cindy!!!
I love the shirt- good luck with the store!

That is a really cute shirt! The finance girl in me has to ask – why 14.92%? It’s probably totallly obvious but I’m missing it?

Hey Lynn!
Sorry to hear about the news from your doctor, but I’m sure you’ll get through it! You’ve got a lot of support from people like us here.
The salad and store look great! I love the newly designed items, but I really love the posters of Saving Face and White On Rice that you have in the background of the new picture. Where can I get my hands on those? Haha, I’ve just loved your acting in those movies.
thank you, jon! i actually have no clue as to how to get movie posters (i got both of those when i was doing press for the films) – but i’m sure there are places online?!
that shirt is so cute!
nice shirt!! honestly, you cannot go wrong with honey mustard.
The best salads really are the ones with random ingredients you usually don’t eat. Congrats on the store!

Congrats on your store opening! I love the new artwork – Cindy is a great artist!
We met an American couple at dinner one night on our trip and after they saw me taking photos of my food they asked me if I was a food blogger. I laughed and thought of you. The shirt is super cute!
