Dinner last night was simple, quick, and early.

This giant salad had roasted beets from Whole Foods and some leftover steak that was in the fridge.

Crunch on the side:

Super seedy!

A handful of dried apricots for sweetness and chew.

Almost didn’t make it to “The People I’ve Slept With” last night! The Sunset Strip Music Festival blocked off a bunch of roads and I arrived in the middle of the Q&A.

Thank you to everyone who came to the screening and said hello at the Libertine after-party (sponsored by Audrey Magazine). I had fun meeting everyone!

We tried to get some dessert while we were out but everything had closed. Figured nothing would be better than the frozen dessert stash back at the beach house, anyway!

P1230365.JPG

There were a bunch of new (to me) Coconut Bliss flavors to sample – plus one brand of Coconut Milk ice cream I’ve never tried before

P1230366.JPG

A scoop of each, topped with TJ’s freeze dried Strawberries

Man, it was all good stuff – I much prefer these flavors to the one I currently have at home. Went back for seconds on everything!

Usually I end with something sweet, but last night I needed the salt!

Favorite post-celebratory midnight snack? I would’ve killed for a cupcake last night but that coconut ice cream was pretty satisfying!

Holy smokes! My kinda stocked up freezer :-P I totally would’ve scooped those with some kinda salty chip (midnight or not). Such bad guilty pleasure, I know.

Glad you had a great time last night!

That’s some ice cream stash!! I had more than my fill of cupcakes this week. My neighbor brought over four on Thursday. They were all gone by Saturday. eeeek!

My late night snack post anything is usually a bowl of cereal.

Glad you had fun at the Q&A and after-party. I hope the film does well this week!!

I LOVE all the ice cream in the freezer!!! I haven’t had Coconut Bliss ice cream in a loooong time. Sounds like the perfect post-celebratory midnight snack to me… :)

Where do I start? Everything looks delicious in this post! From the salad to the dried apricots to the ICE CREAM… I love ice cream… holy smokes.

I’m glad your event went well last night. If I was more near the action, I think I’d go out more often in Los Angeles. But I hate driving, so I often stay in – we’re just east of Hancock Park. It was a Project Runway Season 7 marathon last night… so I’m not complaining!

I am always craving cake goods. It’s not only a midnight craving, but nearly an every-hour craving. <3

See you around!!

I have never seen so much ice cream in one place. Except maybe at Baskin-Robbins??

sometimes i like cereal but i almost always end up getting some oatmeal. i think it’s because the warm, creamy oats allow me to sleep better.

It’s okay, Lynn. You were fabulously and fashionably late. It was nice seeing you, even if it was just for the Q&A session.

Congrats on the evening Lynn! I am so happy for you. Your dessert looks like the perfect treat afterwards! I need to get my hands on those freeze dried strawberries! Why does TJs have to be just far enough away to be inconvenient? I hope you have a great day today!

Those Wheat Free Crusts sound delicious. Loving the ingredient list!

I’m usually craving something salty at for my late snack… usually pita chips or potato chips. You can never go wrong with an ice cream though :)

Great stash!

My favorite post-celebratory late-night finally-home snack would be either real popcorn or a slice of Boston Cream Pie, depending on whether salt or sweet was missing from the evening :)

Ok, I know everyone else already commented on the freezer situation… but WOW!!!!

I’m curious – are the home owners vegan or lactose intolerant? I was wondering if maybe they werne’t, but if vegan food (like coconut milk ice cream) happens to be more the norm in LA than it is here in Chicago.

Ice cream or brownies. Or ice cream AND brownies.

I would kill for access to that freezer :)

Congratulations on your night! And what better way to celebrate than with a coconut ice cream feast? My fave late night snack has to be a big bowl of cereal though.
