Lynn – Grains of Goodness Giveaway

Guess what opens in New York City today? My movie, “White on Rice!” It’s playing at Big Cinemas (239 E. 59th Street) every day for at least a week – hopefully more if it does well…would appreciate your help in spreading the word to your tri-state peeps!

My afternoon apple/chocolate snack kept me full until Abe got back late last night. I didn’t think I would be able to wait until 9pm for dinner, but I did! I always prefer to eat with my boo.

I sauteed an onion and some garlic with organic chopped collard greens, deglazed the pan with veggie stock, and added half a jar of this Bertolli Arrabbiata sauce that we received from the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program.

While that was all cooking, I smeared two of these with some Laughing Cow cheese:

I am a little obsessed with this lavash bread, which I picked up at Whole Foods. When you roll it up it makes a wrap the size of your head. 🙂

The oven was preheated to 350 already – I combined it all for 10 minutes to make this personal, upside-down “pizza” –

So good!  Abe kept saying so, which he doesn’t usually do.  If you like super-thin “crust” you will like this.

For dessert, we split an organic navel orange and two flavors of Fatty Bar samples we got:

One was Dark Chocolate with Chili and the other was Milk Chocolate with Ginger.

Unfortunately, these weren’t really our thing – the milk chocolate tasted like a Nestle Crunch bar with dried herbs and the Dark Chocolate was just okay, with a slight spicy kick. Even though we got these for free, I wouldn’t spend $5 for either of these bars.  Maybe our palates are just uncouth.

The best part of my job? Watching TV for research. I spent an hour “studying” by watching episodes of the show I’m auditioning for while we had dinner. Then Abe helped me run lines.

Once I felt like I was prepared, we snuggled up with some Nestle’s hot cocoa and caught up on “Lost:”

Okay, you’ve been patient (or maybe you’ve just scrolled down to this part)…

Here’s the giveaway!

Oh my goodness… in college, my roommates are I were obsessed with Cinnamon Toast Crunch… because of the limited food hall options back then, CTC (as we lovingly called it) became a staple of ours! Then as I got older, I realized how bad CTC really is nutritionally, but I still love it as a treat every now and again!

I love Cinnamon toast crunch and could probably eat the whole box of it if the opportunity presented itself. Thanks for the giveaway!

OMG Lavash bread. Do you know that is impossible to find in the NE? Only whole foods carries it. I LOVE that stuff, makes the best hummus rollups.
Cereal? Hmm. I eat oatmeal & almond butter. But I have tried the Cascadian Farms Organic Fruit Loops for kids and they were awesome.

Congrats on the movie opening – how exciting!! I’ll tweet about it 🙂

My fav cereal has got to be the classic Cheerios – grew up on this stuff.

My old stand-by for comfort cereal is Cocoa Puffs. While I don’t eat it often, it’s still my favorite, and has been since I was a kid.

Right now, my “everyday” favorite is Banana Nut Cheerios. Wow, I should mix that half and half with the Cocoa Puffs…best of both worlds!
