Last night I did something I’ve never done before….
I put together a breakfast cookie.
When I got back from the gym (30 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes of lower body weights) I couldn’t wait to eat this:
I mixed 1/2 cup combo of oats and kamut combined with 2 TB Better’n Peanut Butter
Then added 1/4 cup water and 1 scoop of Aria Vanilla Protein Powder
Plus 1/2 a mashed banana and a dash of cinammon….let it sit overnight in the fridge, and this morning I added some sliced organic strawberries:
With a cup of Honey Vanilla Chamomile:
The breakfast cookie was pretty good! Very sweet, from the powder, just like a cookie should be. But not at all firm. Still, I am intrigued enough to keep experimenting.
I was a busy little bee today! I did the laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and even knocked out a random last-minute phone interview with a journalist who’s doing an article on actors who are married to non-actors and have done a same-sex scene. Weirdly enough, that’s me! We’ll see if Abe and I make it into the magazine.
I took Julius for a 45-minute walk while listening to the Everything Acting Podcast (a great resource for actors) then came home and had lunch. I wasn’t hungry, but Christy was coming over so I wanted to have something beforehand.
Tofurkey, Organic Tomatoes, Sweet Relish, and Dijonnaise -
I really loved this bread! Great chew factor.
I felt full, but then twenty minutes later I felt a little hunger pang so I snacked on some fresh figs and pretzels before Christy arrived.
The farmers market dude told me this was called a “honey fig” -
Look how bee-u-tee-ful inside!
A handful of these -
Then Christy got here and we planted these -
Heirloom Tomatoes (Giant Syrians) plus basil and marigolds (as a natural bug repellant)
I don’t have a naturally green thumb so we’ll see how this goes…
I’m optimistic, though!
Thanks for helping me out Christy, my lovely blog sistah -
